Common questions
How do I install the Chrome extension?
Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store and click "Add to Chrome". Once installed, click the RIOT icon in your toolbar to join a session or configure your instance URL.
How do I start a riot session?
Sign in at runriot.io, go to your dashboard, and click "Start a Riot". Enter a session name and the URL of the product you want to test. Share the join link with your participants.
How do I use the always-on widget?
Go to your dashboard → Always-On Widget tab → Add Site. Copy the script tag and paste it before the </body> tag on your site. Feedback from your users will appear in your dashboard automatically.
What does "The Verdict" do?
At the end of a session, click "The Verdict" to run AI synthesis over all feedback shots. It groups and ranks them by impact and frequency, giving you a prioritised list of what to fix or build next.
Can I use RIOT with a self-hosted or private instance?
Yes. In the extension settings page (⚙ Settings in the popup footer), enter your private RIOT server URL. The extension will route all traffic there instead of runriot.io.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at support@runriot.io with the subject "Delete my account" and we will remove all your data within 30 days.
